Business Plans for New York Agriculture

Business plans are an important personal roadmap to the future for almost all businesses. Agriculture has lagged in the adoption of formal business plans. Cornell University, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension, Farm Credit and Farm Bureau of New York, have teamed up to develop and deliver a curriculum for business planning. Discussion groups across the state are forming to learn more about this important tool.
The curriculum consists of nine modules. The modules are video taped sessions from 20-40 minutes in length. Most modules include some workbook or discussion materials. As participants complete each module, they have completed a portion of their final business plan. An outline of the modules can be downloaded here.
