Specialty Crops
Specialty
crops have eluded precise definition but we know them when we see them.
They don’t include field crops such as corn or hay and they don’t
include major livestock industries such as dairy. They do however, include
all vegetable and fruit crops as well as minor animal enterprises such
as fish farming and honey. Specialty crops have their own challenges and
a few insurance products which may fit grower's needs.
